Bad Ass Chick

Let's start

Open your supplies & minimize all for now, except for the template. Shift D & duplicate the template. Close the original. Go to image, canvas size, resize to 550 x 550. We'll crop later. Add new raster & floodfill white. Layers, arrange, send to bottom. Rename this layer background & close off the original background layer. Highlight the rectangle 1 layer, selections, select all, float, defloat. Open ct crumpled paper 12. Copy & paste as new layer on to your canves. Resize by 60 Smartsize. Selections, invert, hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Close off the original layer. Apply gradient glow with the following settings. Glow width 3, soft corners 25, opacity 100, fat setting, colour white. Dropshadow, V2, H2, opacity 40, blur 40, colour black. Repeat the above for rectangle 2.

Highlight rectangle 3 layer. Selections, select all, float, defloat. Copy & paste ct crumpled paper 10 as new layer, resize by 60 smartsize. Selections, invert, hit delete on your keyboard. Close off the original layer. Do not deselect yet. Open up your tube of choice, copy & paste as new layer on to your canvas. Resize if needed. Move into position & making sure you are on your tube layer, hit delete on your keyboard. Selections, select none. Close off the original rectangle 3 layer. Dropshadow tube layer. Highlight your blue paper layer again & gradient glow, using the same settings as before. Dropshadow. Change the opacity of the words 2 layer to 100 & move below your tube. Sharpen this layer. Highlight the words layer. Selections, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer & floodfill 'Bad Ass Chick' white. Close off original. Gradient glow, as before, but this time change the setting to medium, colur black. Dropshadow.

Highlight your background layer. Copy & paste ct-uncrumpled paperswirl 1. Resize by 80 smartsize & apply your mask. Make sure 'invert mask data' is ticked. Layers, merge group. Resize by 90 smartsize. Lower the opacity of the mask layer to 80. Penta, colur dot & change the distance to 10. Hit Ok. Adjust, sharpen.

Back to your top layer & highlight. Open up ct-staple line. Copy & paste as new layer. Resize by 70 smartsize. Image rotate, 90 left. Move into position & trim the excess. Sharpen & dropshadow. Repeat this for the other side. Open up ct-staples & paste as new layer. Move to the left of your canvas. Duplicate, image mirror, & move up slighly. Resize if needed. Highlight mask layer again. Copy & paste as new layer, above your mask, ct-gems 2. Resize by 80. Dropshadow & sharpen.

Back to your top layer. Change the foreground colour to black, and fill to #009ac0. Select your text tool, & using font of choice, with the following settings, size 48, stroke width 1, anti-alias sharp, add your name. Dropshadow. Trim excess.

Finally, add your copyright info & bingo, done!

Greg's Factory Output Vol II - Optional.

Ok let's get started.

Open a 500x500 canvas & floodfill white. Copy & paste as new as new layer ct-frame cluster 2 & resize by 70 smartsize. Take your magic wand & click inside all 3 boxes, selections, modify expand by 4. Open up ct-dazzle paper 5. Resize by 60. Paste this on to your canvas, position. Selections invert, & hit delect on your keyboard. Don't deselect just yet. Take your tubes of choice, resize if needed & and paste on to your canvas, move into desired position, then hit delete on your keyboard. Repeat this for the remaining frames. Selections, select none. Move your tube & paper layers below the frame background. Dropshadow tube layer and frame. I used H2 - V2 - Opacity 40 Blur 5.00 Colour black. Highlight your paper layer. I used Greg's Factory Output Vol II here. Pool Shadow with the following settings from top to bottom,

Diagonal 8 Center 7 Horizontal 9 Diagonal 17 Horizontal 24 Vertical 50 Intensity 76 Lightness 97

Click Ok.

Back to your frame layer and apply weave with the following settings. Gap size 2, width 2, opacity 30, weave colour white, fill gaps unchecked. Click Ok. Highlight your background layer. Copy & paste ct-dazzle paper 3 as new layer. Resize by 80 Smartsize twice. Find your mask and apply. Merge group & resize by 95 smartsize. Duplicate this layer & on the bottom layer, go to adjust, blur, gaussian blur radius 6. Back to the duplicate mask layer and apply the same weave settings as before, but changing the opacity to 20.

Copy & paste as new layer ct-swirl. Resize by 80 smartsize, dropshadow and move this layer down to sit above your 2 mask layers. Duplicate, image, mirror, image flip. Open up ct-dazzlegems 1. Copy & paste as new layer. Resize by 70. Place below the swirl layer but above your mask layers. Open ct-dazzle paper 15. Change your foreground colour to black & your fill to paper 15. Using a font of choice, size 48, stroke width 1, anti-alias sharp. Type out your name. Move into desired position & convert to raster layer. Apply Gradient glow. Width 3, soft corners 25, opacity 100, medium setting, colour white. Dropshadow. Sharpen each layer once. Add your copyright info & save as JPEG.

Vintage Elegance


























A quick & easy coffee break tutorial.

Scrapkit used is Vintage Elegance by Angelic Scraps. You'll find this fab kit at Heartbeatz Creations



WSL Mask 133 from her BLOG



Open a 500 x 500 new canvas and floodfill white.

Open AS Vintage Elegance Frame 4 & resize by 50 Smartsize twice.

Copy & paste as new layer on to your canvas.

Duplicate & arrange frames.

Grab your magic wand & click inside frames.

Selection, modify, expand by 3.

Open AS Vintage Elegance Paper 6.

Copy & paste as new layer over your frames, selections, invert.

Hit delete on your keyboard.

Do not deselect yet Move this paper layer below your frame.

Open 2 tubes of choice, close-up's would be better here. Resize as necessary.

Copy & paste as new layer.


Repeat this for the second frame.

Selections, select none.

Move below frame layer.

Dropshadow your tube & frames.

I used H2 - V2. Opacity 45 - Blur 5. Colour black.



Highlight your background layer.

Find AS Vintage Paper 4 & paste as new layer above the background.

Go to layers, new mask layer & select your mask from the dropdown.

Merge group. Resize by 83 Smartsize.

Lower the opacity of the mask to 80.

Change your foreground colour to #4d4949.

Effects, texture effects, weave with the following settings.

Gap 2 Width 2 Opacity 97. Fill gaps un-checked and hit OK.


Highlight your top layer.

Copy & paste tube of choice.

Add Dropshadow.

Add elements of choice and dropshadow.

Trim excess.

Shapen each layer once.


Add your name & copyright info. Save as JPEG. All done

Hotter Than You.






















Font Of Choice. I used Impact.
Dropshadow used throughout H2 - V2. Opacity 40 - Blur 5. Colour black.

Ok, let's get started!

Open your supplies & minimize for now, except for the template.
Duplicate the template, using Shift D and close the original.
Delete the copyright layer.
Highlight the circle layer, selections, select all, selections float, selections defloat.
Open up DBA paper 13 & resize by 80 Smartsize.
Copy and paste as new layer above the circle layer. Selections, invert, hit delete on your keyboard. Selections, select none. Close off the original circle layer. Dropshadow.
Select rectangle layer and do the same again, this time using DBA paper 4. Close off the original. Go to effects, Gradient Glow. width 3. medium, white, dropshadow. On the words layer, selections, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer & floodfill white. Select none. Dropshadow. Close off the original words layer. Highlight the wordart temp layer. Select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer & floodfill #e6e4e4. Go to effects, plugins, Penta.com Jeans, amount 62 border width 4. Hit OK. Select none. Gradient Glow as before, but change the colour from white to black. Dropshadow.
Open up your tube of choice. Copy & paste as new layer, resize if neccessary. Grab your deform tool and move to the right. Duplicate & move duplicated copy below raster 2. Back up to the original tube layer & highlight. Grab your eraser tool & carefully erase the excess outside the box. Highlight duplicated tube layer again & dropshadow.
Highlight top layer. Open DBA Diamond Rain 1. Resize by 80 Smartsize. Copy & paste as new layer and move to the left. Erase the excess. Dropshadow. Open DBA Decorated Flower 1. Resize by 50 Smartsize, twice. Move to bottom left. Dropshadow.
Highlight your background layer. Copy & paste DBA Paper 6 as new layer, above the background. Go to layers, at the top, new mask layer from image, and select WSL Mask 230 from the dropdown. Hit OK. Layers, merge group. Resize if needed. Add your name & copyright info, save as JPEG & Hey Presto, we're done!
